slowthai has appeared in court today (May 16) charged with two counts of rape, relating to an incident in Oxford in September 2021.
The 28-year-old rapper, real name Tyron Frampton, is charged with oral and vaginal penetrative sex of the same woman without her consent; the prosecutor asked the court to refer the case to crown court, as the charge of rape was an indictable-only.
slowthai appeared at Oxfordshire Magistrates Court only to give his name, date of birth and address.
Frampton was released on bail, with a further hearing scheduled for Oxford Crown Court next month.
Mixmag has contacted representatives for slowthai for comment.
