Shall Not Fade has announced the return of its festival, set to take place on September 9 in the label’s hometown of Bristol at the urban spot Propyard.

After a sold-out edition in 2022, the event is returning with its same multi-genre, multi-stage setup, with the introduction of a third stage focusing on local artists and emerging talent. On the other stages, one will focus on all things house and techno with the second focussing on all things bass.

Names on the festival programme include Emerald, Cinthie, Breaka, Soul Mass Transit System, Big Miz, Amy Dabbs and Adelphi Music Factory. You can check out the full line-up here.

All artists involved are dubbed “hand-picked” with the aim to be representative of the various labels existing around Shall Not Fade, aligning with its core values of inclusivity and diversity.

There will be dedicated festival afterparties in various locations across Bristol once the daytime running has ended at 11pm, which will stretch through ’til late.

“We’re so excited to return to our hometown Bristol this September for the second instalment of our independent Shall Not Fade Festival,” says the label’s Kieran Williams. “Last year’s edition was easily the best label party we’ve put on and one we certainly won’t forget in a hurry. Our aim for 2023 is to create something bigger and better than last year, whilst still maintaining the grass roots ethos of the previous year.”
