Ibiza regular and ‘Organ Belta’ producer Jamie Roy has died.
The Scottish artist’s family confirmed his death on Facebook earlier this morning (September 21), writing: Jamie passed away yesterday (September 20).”
“Jamie was a much loved and talented son, brother, nephew and uncle and loved by his many friends and colleagues both within the music industry and beyond that. We are all absolutely heartbroken.”
Roy had become an in-demand booking on the Ibiza circuit, having spent the last decade moving from the Glasgow underground scene to White Isle regular — summer 2022 saw him grace the decks at Palm Tree festival in Croatia, DC-10 with Patrick Topping and Albania’s Unum festival.
As a producer, Jamie had worked with labels including Repopulate Mars, Criminal Hype, Kaluki and Under No Illusion — signing with Ultra Records in 2021 to release the highly-anticipated ‘Fantasy’ alongside Huxley and DJ Rae.
Days before his death, Jamie took to Instagram to celebrate the one-year birthday of his most well-known track ‘Organ Belta’ which was released via Patrick Topping’s Trick.
“Well Organ Belta is one year old next week! Just had a look and it’s at number 37 and still in the house charts 51 weeks later mental jumping 24 places since yesterday. I’m also 46th biggest selling house artist thank you all,” the Instagram post reads.
Jamie had a huge impact on the nightlife of Ibiza, regularly DJing at Pacha, Ushuaïa Ibiza, Amnesia, DC-10 as well as holding his own residency at the Cuckoo Land pool party at Ibiza Rocks.
His lastset was at Amnesia on August 29 alongside Gorgon City, Sonny Fodera, DJ EZ, Huxley, Danny Howard, Ango Tamarin, Jodie Harsh and Mark Knight.
Tributes from DJs and fans have been flooding in. Read some of them below.

Such a sad, sad loss.
So young, so talented, so gorgeous, funny & kind.
Had some of the best nights with him & the lads in Ibiza.
Love to all his family and friends.
Everyone is going to miss you & we’ll never forget you @jamieroyuk 💔💔💔 pic.twitter.com/tW4QcSyWzJ— Rowetta🎙 (@Rowetta) September 21, 2022
There is nobody like THE Jamie Roy.
One in 8 billion.
Lit up any room he walked into.
An incredible human.
Hard to believe it’s true.
Say it ain’t so…
