Parklife welcomed thousands of revellers to Heaton Park once again last week, with performances from Aitch, Rudimental, Wu-Tang Cland and many more.
The main stage also saw vocalist Shygirl, singer-songwriter RAYE and rapper Knucks, to name a few. Superstar vocalist Little Simz took to the stage dripped out in Men In Black-esque attire with complementary stage visuals.
The Valley hosted an eclectic range of energy filled stomping performances from the UK’s best DJ/Producers, such as Skrillex, Annie Mac, Peggy Gou, Jyoty and Fred Again…. The vibrancy of the latter artist’s set was met with a range of man-made love hearts of praise, as well as custom oversized Fred Again… face masks that circled amongst the sweaty hands of crowd ravers.
The Worried About Henry Stage brought a range of special guests to their star studded performances, including self-described bass enthusiast Flava D, and Macky Gee. On Sunday, the Parklife stage was blessed with a memorable performance from American artist JPEGMAFIA , who’s legendary show left both himself and the audience dripping with exuberant beads of sweat. Britpop icons The 1975 also left their mark, as well as an unforgettable NY State of Mind performance from hip hop heavyweights Wu-Tang Clan and Nas, leaving W’s up in the air across the crowd.
The Prodigy’s lazer filled showcase marked the early stages of their return to live performances following the tragic passing of Keith Flint, with fans scrambling on top of each other to get a good look at the electro-punk wizards. The Temple stage was graced with a string of mindblowing tech-house legends, including Skin on Skin, Mall Grab and Honey Dijon.
Ravers and steppas from all corners of Heaton Park assembled at the Rinse Presents stage, which saw a host of new generation dance legends, such as jungle hot heads 4AM Kru, and garage hulks Interplanetary Criminal and Conducta. The Eat Your Own Ears stage also assembled its own amalgamation of nu-gen junglists with a headbanging, braid swinging set from North-East England’s very own Nia Archives.
